Very enjoyable event. Thanks to everyone who came out, participated and provided goodies. Good food, fishing and visiting with everybody. I would like to see this be an annual event. Would vote for launching at Baxter, as others have also. Nothing wrong with Eagle Rock, but IMO Baxter would be closer to those that are located on the eastern end of the lake. Thanks for the video Phil.

Thanks for posting the video Phil. Sure wanted to be there but just couldnt make it happen. You guys let a couple of Kansas guys come down to a Missouri lake and win this thing?? Just kidding. I know Kbilb and his son personally and they are a couple of great guys. I fished with Kbilb the weekend before the tournament and we really thought it would take a 6 or 7 pounder to win. But the fishing has been tough all over the state. But only going to get better!! Really a great job by all you guys putting this tournament on for us on the site.

Baxter would be a happy medium on location. But since it was on the FAR upper end this year it's only fair that it be on the lower end in Long Creek or near the Dam. :have-a-nice-day: Old 86 Park has plenty of parking! Next year will make it a point to attend. I also thought it would be a neat idea if every participant's entry fee would be a lure that is their "go to" on Table Rock. Nothing expensive. Say limit at no more than $10 to $15 or less and everyone gets a number, lures are numbered 1-50, etc and everyone gets a #/lure (not your own). Just thought that would be fun and maybe force guys to think outside their normal repertoire or arsenal they typically fish with. Quill get planning! I want sponsorship's! Network airtime on TV! Wrapped boats! White Sunglasses! Buffs! and most importantly OAF Jerseys loaded with patches!

Looks and sounds like everyone had a great time?

Would have loved to come, but that's quite a run from my house and dock (near Hwy 13 bridge in KC) by water.

I haven't had the rig on a trailer in 6 or 7 years, and not sure I would trust the tires or the bearings?

Maybe next time? Definitely, if it's held at Baxter.

I don't know how to word this without sounding rude, it's not my intention. If you want it at a different location or season, plan it out. I drove from the St Louis area. Surely some of you on the other side of the lake could have came down for a day trip. I will do it again if is offered.

Quillback did a great job not doubt about it. Season wouldn't matter to me. Was just saying for sake of convenience for ALL OAF members that a mid lake location would best best for overall outcome for the event. A few people mention they wouldn't attend just based on logistics so to lessen the # of entrants from doing that a mid-lake (Baxter was mentioned) would work best for the masses. Not complaining or bashing, just saying.

Another suggestion might be for those who can't/won't trailer or travel long distances by water to pair up with another boat owner who doesn't have a partner. I think those who paired up (Daryk for sure) this time really enjoyed their time on the water and made new friends.

I've been thinking about this the last couple of days and exchanged a few emails with folks.

Probably will keep this one at Eagle Rock, which I realize is out of some folks range. We had a pretty good turn out, and I don't want to relocate to make the tourney bigger as far as having more people, just for the sake of making it bigger. And we'll probably lose some of the upper end crowd if we were to move mid-lake. Makes it a long drive for me also.

So pencil in next year, mid-March time frame, back at Eagle Rock for round 2. I won't file the paper work until the end of this year, and I'll update everyone at that point as to the exact date.

You never know, someone may put on an OA tourney on the lower end later this year. :)

Quill, Bill and to everyone that had a hand in putting the get together on I want to say Thank You. I have a place at the other end of the lake, however we drove over to meet folks from the forum. We had a great time and truthfully it gave me a chance to see that part of the lake. We are for sure in for next year as well. Thanks again to everyone.
