You should post that picture of that 10lb bass you let go again......... ;)

I am not Champ and this bass was 'only' 9lb 7oz. It dang sure went back in the water as soon as I got a weight and some measurements for a replica mount. Pretty darn sure it will be the biggest bass I ever catch; yet there was no way in heck I was gonna kill it!

Speaking of...did anyone see that giant meanmouth in Bass Blaster yesterday? Unfortunately it was Zona. From the lake in CA that isn't Bullards Bar (right...).

I saw a quick pic of Zona and Ehrler. That the one you speak of?

This one? Wonder if any of those fish were ever caught and released.

Yeah. First thing I thought when I saw it was "giant Meanie!" Guess I'm getting jaded to seeing their pics of monster spots (of course spots can rarely attain a length of 15"...).

Either the article or the FB page said the little spot in the pic was 5#, so how big is the meanmouth? Literal monster. Not a great lake to be salmon.

Yeah the amount of big fish that Matt Allen and his buddy (forget his name) catch per year and moreover kicking out this year is outrageous. Matt is a friggin' nut as I have seen article and videos of him SLEEPING on the deck of his boat in a sleeping bag. Just so he can have as much time on the water as possible to catch trophy fish. That is commitment teetering on insanity but nobody can deny his success or that his method to his madness works. His Tactical Bassin' videos are some of the very best that you will find on the interweb.  He is not just another West Coast big swimbait chucker (well he is that too) but he fishes jigs, spinnerbaits, topwater, spoons, etc just like the rest of us in the Ozarks. Just awesome stuff all around.

The bottom left pic is the one I saw on Facebook where Zona said his is the "little 5lb'er" and how much do you think that Ehrler's weighs? Of course Ehrler is long arming his but still...thing is a Panzer. The meanie in Ehrler's left hand I would venture to say is pushing 7-8lbs????? Yeah, it's not good to be a salmon, trout, bird, snake or anything else with a pulse in that lake.

I was guessing 7-8# too, based on the one Dave's grandson caught last summer. Think that is reasonable, if outlandish.

My Q is, where are the brown fish in that lake? Must be some in the woodshed somewhere. What do they look like?
