I'm much more amazed that Storm/Rapala can't imitate a wart.

You would have to order the MB from overseas. That and the $25-30 shipped price stopped me. I ordered some other items from one of the companies that has them and they shipped exactly as advertised. No worries there. Not sure they would get here by March at this point.

The price of shipping is what has stopped me from ordering any. I'm content with the Warts I have but I just like to try others out to see what they have to offer.

You'd think Storm could. They'd sell ten times over if they'd get with the program. With the resources they have it shouldn't be that hard but apparently to them it is...or they don't want to invest the money and time in it.

The original warts and why they were so successful is obtaining mythical status. I'm not sure that any bait can live up to the mythical status.

Necessity is the reason I starting painting my own lures 6 years ago. I'm no master yet but have achieved journeyman status. Now I can order the ugly colors that aren't sold out & turn them into crawdad colors. It's time consuming & painstaking work, but it's very rewarding to be ahead of the curve.

It's human nature to assign mythical/spiritual importance to things we don't understand.  Therefore no matter how preposterous our assumptions may be, they grow to become real in the gardens of our mind.

Got a couple of Teckel's 2 weeks ago. Like Dave said the hooks and split rings are junk. Can't wait to get out and throw them here in about a month when it is prime wart time on the Rock. The pool video of them in action on the TW website had me intrigued. But then again so does just about any lure being demonstrated in a swimming pool. I am a visual learner. I am also a sucker and I know it.

Deep thoughts with Jack Handy...
