Quillback Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Picked up a Pradco Deep Little N. Looks identical to the pre-Pradco ones, but it does say on the package that they are now made in Guatemala. I'm sure it's a good business decision for Pradco, but hate to see another US based business bite the dust. magicwormman, dtrs5kprs, Muddy Water and 1 other 4
nomolites Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 So all my old ones will be worth $$? Sweet.... Mike

merc1997 Bo Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 i am one that is of the mind set to make things here. has anyone given thought to the fact that if we were to get into an all out war, we will get whipped because we do not have any manufacturing facilities. does anyone believe that china is going to ship us steel to build war machines. i just hate seeing manufacturing going off shore. bo magicwormman, Grumpy53, terryj1024 and 3 others 6

tapout Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Sgt. Shultz!!!! Glad I'm not the only one. Champ188 1 I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar
fishinwrench Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 It's ok, let them move production overseas, Trump will see to it that they loose their profits when they try to sell them here. I'm betting there ain't much demand for DD-22's and DLN's in China or Guatamala. merc1997 Bo, terryj1024, Wart 57 and 3 others 6
Mitch f Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 I've been to Pradco's headquarters. Their design engineer told me about the extremely thin margins they operate on. I'm sure it was about squeaking an extra few pennies out of a bait. I can tell you the place wasn't the Taj Mahal. dtrs5kprs 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Browning Guy Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Credibility on the one issue will come when his ties and hats are made over here...........until then. Pradco has made a lot of good baits over the years and in today's competitive world it has to be difficult to stay afloat. They should start asking $19 each for the N's and come up with a different snazzy name, paint schemes and change the packaging.............. I believe Pradco/Rebel made the Wee R, Deep Wee R, Suspending Wee R, little Wee R back in the 70's. The perch and crawdad colors were killers for a long time on TR. I still have 30 or so of the suspending Wee R's in the packages, but had forgotten about them over the years. Need to dust them off and put them to use next spring. dtrs5kprs and Hughesy 2
