Ham Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I want it to be about the fishing. I hate the BS drama about how stressed they are. Just fish and explain how you are fishing. vernon, dtrs5kprs and Champ188 3 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

Sad Bassmaster and others went away from that production format. vernon and Donna G 2
moguy1973 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 That was a good episode. Looked like it was going to be better at the beginning though. The bigger fish stopped pretty quickly. Ott laid it all on the line doing what he did but it paid off. He was WAY up in there. dtrs5kprs 1 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
fishinwrench Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I coulda shown OTT an easier way in there ? Guess I'll wait until it's available on DVD because I want to see ALL the footage. Anyone know when that will be?
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Looked like an area you talked about the white bass going up the creek when the lake is low. Kind of a silt shoal.

Kind of a silt shoal. Exactly. Last June though there was plenty of water. He just was using his mapping program and the channel isn't where the mapping programs indicate it is. Navionics and the other mapping programs are often not accurate. Sometimes, like in that particular instance, they aren't even close. He's more than 200 yards from where he needs to be. He may have figured it out on his way back out. Did it show him having to push his way back out of there?
Ketchup Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 ^^ Nope he just verbally mentioned it TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.

Just fish and explain how you are fishing. Man, I'm with you. No way I could stand to watch it if not able to DVR through the BS and commercials. Like Dave said, it's not as bad as some of the others but I'm of the opinion that that's primarily because the others have gotten that much worse by comparison. I put a permanent, total, never to be removed block on anything and everything that includes Mark Zona. That guy is beginning to make Ike seem like an introverted recluse. And when the heck did bass fishing become some full contact extreme sport that's NOT for the weak or infirm? Everything is "critical" to any hope of success (or one's very survival it would seem). Likewise for Fishing University and some of the others. The last one I tried to watch went something like this, "Well, Charlie, we definitely have the advantage today fishing out of our Bass Cat boats powered by our exceptionally quiet and powerful Honda outboards because we have the most Cedar Creek beef jerky in our Bass Cat boat powered by our Honda outboards which are the most powerful and smoothest running outboards on the market. And we also will be fishing our Spro signature series top water baits! Now, if I can just stop eating this delicious Cedar Creek beef jerky long enough to make a cast I just might catch a good un' on my Spro signature series top water bait. Can you believe how easy this Spro signature series top water bait is to work? Dang, this Cedar Creek beef jerky is some good stuff! What the heck do you guys at Cedar Creek put in this Cedar Creek beef jerky anyway?" And then it's time to go to a COMMERCIAL! I know I'm getting old but I used to really look forward to the weekend fishing shows. Now it's like watching Roller Ball in the 70's (or was it the 80's?). Where did you go Harold? Can you hear me talking to you Virgil? MGP, Macsimus, Ham and 3 others 6 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." George Carlin "The only money ever wasted is money never spent." Me.
dtrs5kprs Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Nailed it. Especially the Ingram show. Although I do normally buy some Cedar Creek jerky at the BP in Clinton. Champ188 1
