aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Thats the truth. I like seeing how guys catch keepers. I could put on a rooster tail and go catch 12 inchers all day, but thats not why these guys are the best

It would be a tough decision to make.....Do I try to catch 5-8 2+ pounders or do I go for the 25+ 12-14 inchers. You can rack up some weight pretty quick if you truly concentrate on agressive short fish. And if you just so happen to catch a biggun....YeeHaa! Old plug 1

Just saying when almost anyone goes "Bass" fishing they dont target 12" fish. Although my dad throws a rooster tail off the back of my boat all the time and catches plenty

Nobody goes out there and just slays all the hogs. Not very often anyway. ? Yep. Also nice to not see them on some pet lake in Michigan or upstate NY. Or Rayburn in March. Make it tough. Interesting homework project would be to watch, break down the weights based on 15" plus fish. My guess is Short and Watson would have still been up front. crazy4fishin 1

fishinwrench Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 True that. But in a format like that if you run into a bunch of them you're a fool if you leave them to go look for bigger ones. 4 shorts is as good as a 4-5 pounder. I think Watson had him on 15+" fish. dtrs5kprs 1

I'm at the front of the line of folks who agree with that logic. Watson might have, after the spoon fish. Might watch it again if the game goes south. Short had a bunch of fish over 2#. Have to think they were 15".
crazy4fishin Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Doesn't look like it is going south yet....looks to be a real slug fest! Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker
