Old plug Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 I have always wanted to see a good conversation on here about this Time ,Place and Way. So I am throwing it out there now. I have always looked at it as a triangle of fishing. Myself I have always felt the order is Right Time Right place Right way. Roght time because you can be in the right place doing the roght thing but if the fish got lock jaw forget it Right place I often argue with myself about these first two. But I jist got to lean more placing this second on my list. Rght way To me that is two thing right depth and right retrieve. What the lure is and all the mllions of colors they come in just pales in comparoeon to the first two. Coosa and bfishn 2
fishinwrench Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Girschwinn, just get online and follow the tournament circuits. Find out where the bigger ones launch & weigh-in at and fish within a mile or so both ways of the release area. Keep in mind that those bass will not be acting like typical bass though.... because they are lost. They still bite like bass but they won't be in basslike places. Don't hesitate to cast Senko's and lipless crankbaits out in the middle of nowhere, or just mindlessly drag a Carolina rig around. When you catch one cast right back to the same spot right away cuz there may be 8-10 hanging there together. Keep moving and cover all the water around you, there will be some right along the bank, others suspended behind you, and others scattered in between. Don't try to "pattern" them because bass that are lost and lonely can't be patterned again until they have settled into and learned a new home range and are once again comfortable with their new surroundings. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are usually best.

Terrierman Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Dear Girschwinn: What are your top ten fishing spots? Sincerely, Us. Daryk Campbell Sr and rumrunner 2
Gavin Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Timing IS everything IMO. Maybe 5% of your time on the water is when it gets ridiculously easy The other 95% is boots on ground. Exploring and pounding up cold fish. That builds your skills. Catch the first, and observe, might be a pattern or a random catch.Cover the top, bottom, & middle. Dont waste your time. Move often if not catching. River-probably 3 casts to probe a spot. Maybe 3 more after a catch. Don't fish Lakes often. Coosa 1
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Wow, you move ALOT Gavin. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)

rumrunner Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I have to think right place and right time are pretty much equal.now that I ve thought about it place is first.but it can be hard to know how good a place is until you are there at the right time. To the op: I trade info with my buddies and in pm on here but not for the world to see.after you see places get trashed and fished out after the word is spread maybe you will appreciate my point. I give plenty of fishing reports on here but never give out specifics, just pointing in the right direction. Had someone PM me and I pointed him to where I was catching them and he said REALLY, I just told him the fish don't read the magazines. ? dtrs5kprs and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
