I have looked at it a couple times but seems difficult to navigate around on.  Wonder if they could just go ahead and ban me before I start.  Like grouch I don't trust any place that willingly would let me in.

What gets me is, as much as they talk, I never hear them talk about catching fish. It's always their 2002 Merc. 200 with a 30 pitch prop does 98 mph in 6' rollers in summer water heat. Their proud of their speed boats tho.  Maybe we can invite them to actually fish against some of us since they are having a get together on Bull Shoals next month I believe. I gotta be careful with my wording because there are guys on here that may go to that, and I don't want them thinking I'm talking about them. From what I've seen over there,  it's a small few "mostly mods" that can't stand guys with their own opinions. Guess if I really want to make them smile, I can sign up under a different name.  Let's see if I can set a "banned" speed record.

Nothing drives me crazier than somebody with a engine problem that only shows itself after 6000 RPM.  My standard answer is "Your tach is off a little, slow down a bit or get a steeper prop".  Because even if I wanted to take it out and run it at 6k I sure ain't getting back there to diagnose anything.  

During training we got to experience standing face to face with outboards on dyno's running over 6k.  Talk about something that'll take your breath away! 

Thankfully I earned a piece of paper that says I'll never ever have to do that again.

I don't think, in all of my years, I have ever seen anyone catch a fish at 98 MPH.  They do jump into the boat from time to time.

My little 176 champion won't run 80 mph...fastest i have been in it is 63 gps mph by myself and i slowed it back down, it did have a little more in it....lol

Ketchup, I've never been a member over there but maybe we should sign up at the same time and have a race to see who gets banned first. I imagine a lot of OA members would stack their money on me. LOL

I frequent the BBC but learned long ago to stay away from "opinions" and the like. I post and read about fishing topics for the most part. Can't stand the drama some bring. You definitely also have to sift through the useful posts and the BS.  You are right Ketchup, about Bull Shoals. We will be there for the BBC Rally next week. It is a low pressure deal I take the wife with me to fish. She likes it. There are some good people there too, but none of the mods......thankfully. Haven't ever been a fan of theirs.
