The last 2 are the ones that stick out in my mind.  They were characters.

Sorry, I just couldn't figure out how to incorporate any of y'all's names into that line or it would have been so much better!

"Auntie Champ, Uncle dtrs5kprs!" just ain't got much of a ring to it.

When I had my 520 for sale I listed it on BBC.  I had five different guys contact me with "serious"inquiries that made appointments to come take a look.  Coming from Mississippi, St. Louis, Tulsa and Kansas City (2).

ZERO showed up.  Told me all I needed to know.

Needless to say, I wasted a lot of hours getting the boat out of storage, prepping it for their visit and just hanging around waiting for them to never appear.  I called each one of them a couple of times trying to find out if there was a problem or is they were still coming.  Got nothing but voicemail recordings.

Not a single one ever called me back.

Otherwise, I've not spent any significant time on other areas of their deal as I also found it confusing to navigate and was scared off by some of the "conversations" that I did happen to read.

I'm staying here where at least if I get criticized I feel like I'm getting scolded by "family".

Nope....still in Kansas, Toto. Bummer.

I spend a lot of time on BBC.  Been on since 06, took a couple year layoff but been back for a while.  It's like many forums, if you participate a lot it also becomes like family, albeit a large one.  OA is the same feeling, but a smaller, more tight-knit family.  Most large forums are ruled more strictly because they pretty much have to be.  Too many posts/posters makes running herd on the group difficult.  Mods have a truly thankless job no matter what forum and I respect them for that.  Ketchup's ban seems unwarranted but I suspect with 100K members they ban more in a day than small forums do in a month or a year.  They just don't have as much time to deliberate on each and every one like I assume happens here so more knee-jerk reactions happen.  Not saying it's right but at least I understand how it can happen.

You know Vernon.....I have to question what is going on here.....why are you not telling us that you do not wear heels?!?!

I am all for diversity but there is NO heel wearing on OA!!

Think about it - that is a real safety issue on the boat...getting your heel caught in between the lids!! Maybe a temporary ban is needed ;)

You'd like the first 15 miles across the border. Hills and trees, BBQ, Cabela's, BPS.

Anything west of Topeka is the Outback. For all I know they have kangaroos and covered wagons out there.
