I'm showing this to my wife. "See honey, a certified marine mechanic said the problem is that I don't fish enough. I am actually SAVING us money by me fishing more often. It's science."

Good info there Wrench. Thanks for the lesson.

Now thats genious right there.  And to blame it on wrench is even better.

In the last year I have replaced 2 axles and the actuator on my trailer, 2 nails in truck tire, replaced old trolling motor, replaced bent prop and now a motor. Man. This fishing game can get expensive in a hurry.

Back on the water yet?

As long as the nail/screw didn't break any of the belted wires going in you're fine with a plug.   The problem is.....How do you know?

When a few wires get broke they start unraveling, and it's only a matter of time before it blows to pieces like a hand grenade at 60+mph.

At least you didn't get 2 at once in different tires.  That happened to me once on my truck at work.  Really sucks when you only have one spare tire available!

Could be worse, friend of mine last night had something break on his boat trailer and it ended up sideways in the road, with the axle at about 45 degrees, bent, wheel bent etc.  They man handled it around enough to get it off the road and tried to use enough ratchet straps to be able to limp home, but no avail.  ended up with it on a roll back bed wrecker and headed to the shop for new axle, wheel and parts.  happened on a small access road so at least it wasn't on a highway that would have been bad beyond description.

My bad luck for the week goes like this. I get home from a week long work trip to find that my only jeep key is missing.  Had to get it towed to the dealer so they could make another one and program it.   Didnt have that key 12 hours before i lost it.  I know my 2 year old mat have somthing to do with it. This time i called a locksmith to come out and it was def. cheaper.

Took the top off yesterday and cruised around d with the kiddo. Last night i go to put the top back on and the back glass was shattered.  No clue what happened.    Looking forward to friday so i can get on the water, my luck has to change by then

How about a clue as to what area of the lake you will be fishing? I want to stay as far away as possible. Nothing personal though.
