Muddy Water Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 I decided to just wait that one out - glad I did! Just couldn't resist...LoL vernon and Champ188 2
crazy4fishin Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Do Rangers go 70?! O wait wrong forum.....have you checked the air pressure to make sure they were all the same? I noticed a vibration on my trailer and adjusted tire pressure all around and it went away. Not sure about the intermediate issue though Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker
fishinwrench Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Yeah you usually wont have issues like that with a Chevy or GMC... ? Yeeeeah let's do some Ford bashing!!! There's a slight incline pulling into my place. Chevy's, Dodge's, and Toyota's wheel right in with boats in tow....no problem. But when you hear a wheel spinning and gravel flying you know there's a Ford guy pulling in. As long as they've been building trucks you'd think they'd have a rear-end differential that could go off pavement without embarrassing itself so bad. Muddy Water and vernon 2
Deadstream Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 The Ford's have too much power and don't have to pull that grade in 4WD.
fishinwrench Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 The Ford's have too much power and don't have to pull that grade in 4WD. Well why do they only spin one wheel? You've got one wheel trying to do all the work. Does Ford even offer a locker rear end on any of their trucks? If they have power to spare then spread some of that love to the other wheels and quit tearing up my driveway. ? vernon, Muddy Water, Deadstream and 1 other 4
Members dembones Posted April 4, 2017 Members Posted April 4, 2017 I had a head scratcher.....Reg. cab dually....back the trailer in the water and waited for my son to bring the boat around to load it....probably waited 4-5 minutes....on the way home the truck started shaking above 50mph.....took it to the walmarts on Sunday and found that one of the dually tires had a cut in it and water leaked in. It didn't look flat but it sure made for a vibration.... With the water levels low people are having to back their rear tires further in the water. Might be a possibility. vernon and dtrs5kprs 2

No one thought of that one. Of course you wouldn't unless it happened to you. I'm surprised it has not happened to me. Usually if something can go wrong it does. Not so much Ford bashing, but when you get those 350's and up including the customs you either need a climbing rope or an elevator to enter the tree house. vernon, dtrs5kprs and Champ188 3 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

Yep the new ones have a selectable rear locker. At least the new fancy platinum editions do. Doubt most platinum drivers have a clue what the locker button is though vernon 1
fowlthing Posted April 4, 2017 Author Posted April 4, 2017 Did a test drive last night after adjusting the drop hitch... still had issues... closer inspection reveals uneven tire wear on the right side tires. Will get them checked for balance etc. Muddy Water, vernon and dtrs5kprs 3
Smalls21 Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 you may also want to have the trailer axle alignment checked Ketchup and dtrs5kprs 2
