I was out on Sunday and the Anglers in action tournament was going on and I ran into 3 of them that where just idiots! I was fishing a bank with trees and he goes between me and the bank! Two other boats come flying into the area I was fishing and shut down not more than 5 feet from me! I should have gotten there boat numbers and reported them to the tournament staff! Next time I will !

Not doubting you in the least, but I'm guessing they were in the KVD BB CHALLANGE.   The AIA guys are not for the most part fishing that close together, as they are usually after numbers and not just looking for one big bite.  Also most of the AIA guys are locals that fish here everyday and just like you don't want to fish side by side, with you or for  that matter any other guys fishing the same derby.  These guys really know the lake and unless your setting on a gold mine pulling out 4 pounders they would not have crowded you that close.  5' for two boats fishing a derby is really unheard of in a tournament series like AIA.  The competitors just would not fish that close to each other or to you.

At least I hope they didn't.  I know lots of these locals and they just don't fish like that.

Bill i think you are wright about the two that shut it down by me but the guys that came between me and the bank,I am 90% sure they where Anglers in Action as one had a shirt on that had Anglers in Action on it. Oh well not the first time and won't be the be the last! I did keep my cool and just did keep fishing! My Dad told me the bigger man walks away from a fight!

That's the best thing to do, just ignore them.  Friday I had a couple of guys in a boat come into a cove I was fishing, it's a good sized cove and plenty of room for a few boats - but, they came in, bow up, pushing a huge wake as they went by.  It's a cove full of trees, many right below the surface, and they clunked into one, I heard a thump and one of the guys in the boat yells out OHHH!!!.  I got a chuckle out of it.  Apparently no major damage as they continued to motor into the cove.

Another incident, as I was on plane heading into Viney, a boat comes flying in and cuts right across my front, no danger of collision, but it's just outright discourteous.  I guess they thought they were going to beat me to the spot, but they went to a different bank than I went to.

And just think, it is not yet pleasure boat season.  :D
