merc1997 Bo Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Unless you have as much money to buy a politician as the the power companies do then it will never get resolved. exactly why we need term limits and get rid of lobbyists. bo tho1mas, dtrs5kprs, skeeter and 2 others 5
TRRANGER Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 exactly why we need term limits and get rid of lobbyists. bo POLITICIANS = DIAPERS, Are usually full of it and needing changed. "Our friend" Claire, have you ever looked at the counties she won in the last election, St Louis and KC, those are the only 2 places she will ever care about and do anything to promote and help. She is evil like Hillary, social programs and handouts to those not willing to help themselves but willing to vote for the same old give me something system we have. Phil has told all of us in the past even when his place was flooded, the Corp can only deal with actual water on ground, I promise you that if the Corp drew the lakes down to say 900 then we did not get the rain and power had to still be generated the lake would drop more. Then what kinda hurt could we be in. millons of dollars of boats sitting on dry ground no access period, peoples power being shut down due to no generation. it is all a cycle.

skeeter Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 exactly why we need term limits and get rid of lobbyists. bo Heartily agree on the Term Limits. We have those in Missouri but we learned, the hard way, that unless those Term Limits are accompanied by strict limits on amounts of Political Donations, the big money special interests wind up "owning" most of the Politicians. Another post mentioned McCaskill...I'm wondering if she is unopposed in her Party's race again how she will directly interfere this time, like she did in 2011, in the other Party's Primary election ?
Members huskerangler Posted May 13, 2017 Members Posted May 13, 2017 I hear you all on the politicians... but what about the lake level? Currently sitting at 928.6. What can we expect it to be at by June 1st? Halfway through June? July? looking like the area could get a few inches of rain total spread through four days this week...

In fairness, partly based on 2011. cheesemaster 1

Dropping somewhere around 6" every day and a half? (appears to fluctuate a bit). So mid-June or so to get back to normal pool? depending on what Mother Nature decides to throw at us. bferg 1
