Big, fast cruisers cause contention on Lake of the Ozarks http://www.ky3.com/content/news/428894593.html

Living right across from HHT I have to agree, although I do regularly brave the wakes. Had to buy a 21' boat to deal with them and still can't stand up to fish on a busy day. So far I have kept my 17' boat as it is much more maneuverable to fish docks, but it seems it can only be used off season. Interestingly enough the residents in this area , about 2 years back, circulated a petition attempting to make a mile down lake of Ha Ha Tonka no wake. I believe they got several hundred signatures and sent it to the state representative and the water patrol, both of which declared it to much a PITA to bother with. Oh well, as Fishinwrench has previously stated, it may be the big boats and and heavy traffic that make the fishing here so good. Think I'll just shut up and go fish.

You have to attach a large check I think.

The narrower creek arms and coves are where the true problem is.  If the boats over 26' just stayed in the main lake when above idle speed it would be fine.   All the mainlake hotspots have effective wave breaks, as they should, but wave breaks shouldn't be necessary up the smaller tributary arms.

Before Coconut's became a go-to place there wasn't a single day that I couldn't run the entire length of the Gravois arm in a 16' Jon boat.  Now it is sketchy in a 20' Ranger or in a 24' pontoon even on a slow day.

I don't give a crap about dock damage, I used to have a lakefront home with a dock back when it was calm....and the dock still needed constant maintenance. I just wanna be able to go fishing and get back home without getting swamped.

I agree but I'll say any boat above 20. That eliminates a lot of you skiers. Going round and round.  I think in the near future that's the way it's going to be. Every year more coves go to no wake. Most of these guys have no respect for anyone. And are to stupid to realizes what damage they are causing.

And Miller Time should have to be ideal speed all the time.   I've seen him run all the way back to Frankie and Louie's and set it down right at the no wake sign.  Where he get all his money.

I don't think the Miller time boats owner ever drives it, more likely a hired captain driving so they can party it up with those 4 or 5 skimpily clad girls Parading around on it 😄

He or one of his kin invented a part for either a combine or a grain silo.....in case you're wondering where all that dough came from.

I came across this little Gizmo the other day at a gas station and just had to throw down 7.00 for it...IMG_20170619_183318.jpg

You know darn well that whoever came up with that is another one whose wake we'll be taking over the bow someday. 👍😋
