Their new dropshot bait looks like it could be a good Ned bait too. I'm excited about the finesse creature, but most of the lakes I'm fishing in NE KS are much shallower and dirtier so a slower fall and more bulk is a good thing at times. I know Ned talks highly of it.

The lack of salt is kind of the deal breaker for me. Swimbaits aside, I do much better with the elaztech baits that have a high salt content, finesse, or otherwise.

I threw the boar hogz at fish this summer and they wouldn't touch it. Switched back to a regular plastic jig tail or swing head bait and they were on it. Have had the same happen with some of their craws and other baits. Just one of those things.

For 70 -100 bucks a pair they better be able to walk on the water or put themselves on your feet.

Dang, I can't remember the last pair of shoes that I bought that were under $100 - I thought that these were pretty cheap!

Does that make them "old man" shoes?  Do they come in white with a matching belt?  :)

I will be 60 this fall, so I am always on the lookout for comfortable shoes.

Well, I'm 64 so anything that I put on my feet officially become "old man" shoes the second they're secure!

As far as the looks go, if you watched any of Hank Parker's shows this past season you just about had to see him wearing a pair of blue ones and I bet nobody even noticed.

I've been wearing mine everywhere I go for the past four months and not a single person has so much as even commented on them so they must not be too weird looking.

And believe me, the guys I hang out with would not hesitate to hurt my feelings if provided the opportunity!

Aw, let her have her fun.  You'll only benefit in the long run, right?  OK, probably not but keep a good thought anyway.

Believe me, I'm not a comfort at any cost guy - I still have a few shreds of dignity left (OK, very few......) but IF anybody made fun of these babies I'd be "comfortable" telling them that they don't know what they're missing.

Could NEVER do that with Crocs, with or without socks!

Crazy how choosy those stupid little green and brown fish can be at times. The boar hogz was my best plastic on a swinghead all winter. I was catfishing with it would be the best description. Cast it out, let it sit, line would start moving after it sat for an extended period of time. I suspect because the bait was floating up off the bottom slightly, in combination with the current in the area I was fishing, was making the bait move around like a craw or minnow feeding and they just couldn't deal with it.

Elaztech has the market by the short hairs. Since salt makes a bait sink, and you can still get the TRD to stand straight up with all that salt is pretty amazing. We don't salt our craws for a reason, more movement. But I do know that I would put salt in them in a second if I could.

Tackle HD is coming out with the small craw later this summer. It's 3" long and was actually our first design size. I may experiment with salt with our version of the "Little Guy" :)

My 2 cents on the Zinker cut in half and used on a Ned head, is that I use the salty ones.  I'll pull on the Zinker to get the salt out, leaves it with a foamy consistency that has a lot of movement with little input from the rod.  I have found that a Zinker with little salt in it, just doesn't fish as well for me.  It won't "foam out" like a salty Zinker.  That's just for the cut Zinker, I have fished the Elaztech Lizards and did fairly well on them for a bit this spring, and they do not have the salt content of the Zinker.

Lot of companies are trying to jump in on that little rig deal. If it's not elaztech, it's really almost destined to end up in the clearance bin. Just my couple of pennies.

Larew was sending out free samples of their bait. I have them laying here on the coffee table. Wouldn't drop dollar one on them.
