A damsel you would meet on the Meramec would be driving a 10 year old Chevy Cavalier with a dented fender and taped upped window. Oh yeah, and a temporary 35 mph temporary spare tire that she's been driving on for 3 months because her boyfriend was in jail for a crime he didn't commit and didn't fix the flat. 😂 And she's a step up from the damsels on the Big River.

Low Maintenance!  What's wrong with that?

That sounds like the exact opposite of low maintenance to me.

Really???

Where I'm from a gal that will happily drive an old dented Chevy with bald tires and stained/ripped seats is about as low maintenance as it gets.

Hell I just spent 167.89 and spent 3.5 hours replacing a window regulator on a Jeep Liberty so I could have MY truck back......cuz there's NO WAY IN HELL SHE'S GONNA BE SEEN ANYWHERE IN A VEHICLE THAT HAS A PIECE OF DUCT TAPE HOLDING THE WINDOW UP !!!!

I mean God forbid!

Maybe, but by the time you add in new tires to the jalopy, a new tattoo of her boyfriends face, some dental work and a few hits of meth it adds up quickly.  Sort of like fishing with a zebco 202 reel combo, it will work, but I will happily pay a little extra for the higher quality and fewer trips for repair.  Sometimes that low maintenance ends up a lot more expensive in the end.  My wife don't mind driving my truck or old work car as long as I give it a quick cleaning (old lunch containers, spitters etc.)  and spray it with Lysol.  To be fair sometimes the smell of sweaty old guy mixed with various other things gets to be too much for me too.

This thread is everything that is awesome about Ozark Anglers.

You all sound lucky in that sense. She's great in a lot of other ways, and we have a lot else in common... but in reference to outdoor activities the GF is likely to say things like "Can we stop playing with the fish?" or, "Where is the nearest Starbucks?"

I'm convinced she thinks my job (which, as my profile says, primarily involves measuring trees) is mostly made up, if not an outright scam.

None of us gets outdoors enough either, so we spend our time hijacking threads.
