Bill Babler Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Surface temps are in the 76 to 78 range. Taney is running near 60 so I'm not thinking any type of water reversal is in order. Clarity is about 8 feet on the White spoon test, up the White River. If you can get any breeze they are right in the bank on a 1/2 oz WHITE WHAT EVER. SB-Frog-Buzz Bait. They also are on various bluffends seem to favor the new 110 WP in Perch jig bite has slowed some for me but it's still there in under 15' on any shelf rock, back in the pockets. I'm using that big bait I caught them on 2 yrs ago and catching some nice fish. Not lots but goidins Now the great news. Big fish are chasing little and I mean little 1/2 dime size Shad in the river bends over deep water. Patients is the key here. Watch for them and stay with them. I had 6 today that weighed 18 pounds easy, and had a solid 4 earlier on the WP. IM USING A 1/4 oz Kastmaster in Nichol that I put a good hook on to capture these chasers. They are also hitting a 1/4 oz Underspin Chris Tetrick fishing the same area of the lake also had a very good day on a drop shot. 35' but you had to move a lot and he said they were lock so tight to the bottom you could not see them till they snapped Good Luck Sore Thumbs, OldMillRoad, Donna G and 18 others 19 2 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
*T* Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Thanks for the report. Some encouragement! "Water is the driving force of all Nature." -Leonardo da Vinci
Longball22 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 I sat on our houseboat yesterday and watched 10 or 12 huge balls of those tiny shad work around for over two hours. They would come to the surface, run across it, and I never saw a bigger fish break the surface. Absolutely amazed at how much bait is out moving around right now. I drove across the 13 and 86 bridge at Eagle Rock, and you could see the same scenario both places. skeeter and magicwormman 2
m&m Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Bill, thanks for the report. Encouraging information for sure. Mike

The entire Lake, no I'm not exaggerating, was covered in every direction with schools of Shad two days ago after 5 P.M. and there was zero sign of anything chasing or feeding on them. I kept waiting and waiting to see something feed on them and it never happened. It's been a while since I've seen that many schools on the surface all at once. And they stayed up until a little bit of wind made them hard to see for about 20 minutes and when it died down and the water got glassy-flat again, they were still there until the Sun went down over the furthest ridge. 96 CHAMP Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 A buddy of mine that lives at Loz told me shad were everywhere up there also in the creek anyway

Jim Elam Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Amazing to me that a guy that spends so much time and energy on the water to benefit his clients is willing to make public so much of his valuable recon. Time and time again people post about how valuable the info has been for them when on the water. Above and beyond, Mr Babler. vernon, tho1mas, magicwormman and 5 others 8 Jim "The obsessions of others are opaque to the unobsessed, and thus easy to mock...If we are lucky we all have at least one."
