JF660R Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 He looks familiar... I feel like I had him as a college professor. He's obviously a whiner. Most people are. Go to fellows lake if boats make you cry. It's the same as everyone on here whining about cabin cruisers and wake boats. Everyone else's interests should be banned, because they're not my interests...etc. MickinMO, tapout, dtrs5kprs and 1 other 4 https://www.facebook.com/pages/Nocturnal-FabWorx/346443168872812 Like Nocturnal FabWorx on Facebook
moguy1973 Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 I want to know what bass boats do 100mph...Allison's are the only ones I can think of. dtrs5kprs and abkeenan 2 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Sore Thumbs Posted June 17, 2018 Author Posted June 17, 2018 It’s so over the top. Never been 2,350 boats in a tournament around here. I understand where he is coming from to a small degree. There are always going to be rude boaters. It’s not just a few fishermen. It’s a few pontooners, wake boaters, jet skiers etc... Seems to have someone guiding his message. abkeenan 1

mixermarkb Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 It's a shame what newspapers have become these days. So many inaccuracies and downright untruths in that piece it's disgusting. Why that wasn't booted by an editor I have no idea. dtrs5kprs, Champ188, abkeenan and 2 others 4 1
bluebasser86 Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Bass boats are a problem, but wake boats and cigar boats are A-okay! Someone needs to teach him a bit about physics. A bass boat on plane makes such a small wake that it may not even make it to the docks when it can potentially capsize small craft, flood Tokyo, whatever he felt like making up. A big cabin cruiser makes a wake that goes on for miles and is extremely dangerous to boaters and swimmers alike. abkeenan 1

I know it’s in Texas, but he never says that. His story implies it’s local. He has no knowledge of what he is writing about. I guess anyone can be a columnist nowadays. abkeenan and dtrs5kprs 2
eyedabassman Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 I will take 150 bass boats vs. 20 big wake boats any day!!! shark bait, Sore Thumbs and evilcatfish 3
mixermarkb Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 I don't have time, but someone should post the Missouri State Highway Patrol water patrol accident reports as a response, and ask him how many bass boats vs. other types of watercraft are involved in on the water incidents. His article has no basis in objective fact at all. Full stop. abkeenan and dtrs5kprs 2
