Best Boat Fixer in MO.

Recommended Posts

Took a drive Friday to meet the best Boat Mechanic in MO.  I had been having issues with my boat and thought my shade tree mechanics had dicked it up good.  I needed a road trip to see new water and make new friends too.

Wonderful drive on a beautiful Friday morning across the lead belt area with plenty of deer, turkeys, and a bald eagle.  Arrived onsite at the boat shop and got the boat fixed up in short order.  Then off to the lake to enjoy some fishing with one of the other members of this forum.  A weak front had moved in on us and the fish were weakly attempting to feed, but we managed to catch some anyway.  I enjoyed the time on the water and visiting with him and his family.

Spent the night in town and fished the next morning by myself and then drove home, refreshed and relaxed.

Thanks Wrench.

Truly enjoyed hanging out with ya, and hope we can do it again sooner than later.

The fish are biting a little better now.  A buddy and I had a very respectable outing Sunday evening (4 better than average keepers and a bunch of shorts), and we didn't do anything any different than you and I did Friday.

I like this, I like it  bunch. Two of my friends become friends. OAF brought to us by Phil has made so many friends of us all. Yes a few enemies but that is nil compared to the friendships formed. I know my life has been enriched because of this place,

Congrats to you both for meeting up, getting your boat fixed and fishing with Wrench. As many have said, myself included that is one of the great benefits of this forum.

Marty - I agree. I know that I am a better fisherman through the relationships that I have formed while on this forum. I also feel like I am a better man as well.

Agree with what the others have stated, I've been a part of other forum environments, but this one will always be special.  I too have met some truly remarkable and great people from this site.

The knowledge that I have gained has made me a much better fisherman and person as well.

Phil's done a truly great thing in bringing us altogether.  Not too many other forms would I say hey let me go meet a total stranger at night, hop in his truck then ride around in a boat with him all weekend... Or say hey this stranger has kids, I have kids, let's get them together and go wander in a creek in the woods fishing with them...

Gives me faith that there's still some good people in this world despite all the other daily crap and noise that's shoved in our faces every day called news.

How much in repairs do we need to rack up before we get a celebrity fishing trip?  :)

I would have to buy a boat first then tear it up :D!

Y'all are bite killers.  Everytime I go fishing with someone from here we practically get skunked.  As long as there's plenty of beer and snacks though I'm pretty much up for it anytime. 😊
