That looks pretty sweet!

Well come on over this coming March as soon as the Henbit turns purple, and we'll go hit it.  Bring a flyrod and a rugged set of hip boots. I'll provide everything else.

There's some big ol' knot headed gills in there.

Anybody do a float tube anymore? I love fishing for gills or bass from one on small water, but have to admit I haven’t done it in several years.

Bluegill are a big deal, this spring we spent our vacation fishing for them. Four days fishing the strip pits in southern Illinois and four days on Reelfoot. Southern Illinois is strictly fly fishing and Tennessee is slide bobbers and crickets. I enjoy Bluegill fishing as much, maybe more then any other fishing I’ve done.

Not fancy enough for most people anymore. I remember when opening weekend of squirrel season was a Big Deal, but nobody cares about that anymore.

I don’t care to eat Bluegill, but I like catching them.

Bluegills and squirrels are regular Folly Family dinner guests😁!

Missed my two favorite times of year this year in MO, bluegill on the beds and squirrels hitting the hickories in Aug/Sep.

Have found a local bluegill and redear hot spot in MD. Will be bringing some of those home next spring.

I know that @BilletHead has been wearing out the squirrels in his neck of the woods with his air rifles😁!

That sounds great! One of the best fighting fish that swims.

The lakes here in Bella Vista have some good gill fishing with some bonus big redear.  There's quite a few dedicated bluegill fishermen here and even a guide that will take people on gill trips.  They get a lot of pressure, but that's good as they are prolific and it helps to thin them out.  I'll fish for them once or twice a year.  I have always thought that if I get tired of bass fishing, I'll switch to gills or try and figure out redear.  Table Rock has some good redear in it, I've accidently caught a couple of good ones bass fishing, can't be hardly anyone that chases them on that lake.

Looks like Manito Lake they have very Big Shell Crackers there.

Remember the Lake was almost not opened because someone put Crappie in it. Use to be very good Rabbit Hunting around it.
