KY3 Story on Branson Landing Jet Boat

I wasn't aware that they have been ticketed several times. This was never something that should have been approved in the first place. During my fishing trips this year I never saw it out. Anyone know how far up they have tried to go? I know last year someone commented on a rider video showing them barely missing a large tree that was just below water level. It was big enough if they hit it right at full speed the boat could have flipped. I hope this thing just goes away or at least moves to Table Rock

I understand but I would argue that we live in the safest place going.  That said, where and how would you draw the line?  For example, a bass boat is really just a pointed fiberglass projectile, and that is validated hundreds of times per year.  Is risk only unacceptable if you are charging money or is there a number of people that could be harmed that is the threshold?  I am not defending these excursions and I would not get on that type of vessel, I just think that too often there are unintended consequences when freedom to choose is gets restricted as a result of reactive legislation.   Bottom line is we all need to to accountable for our actions, business or otherwise.

That should include the choice of whether or not to board a vessel, airplane, roller coaster, hill tram, helecopter, duck, ect. ect.  

Just because it's there, and it is licensed and operated by "professionals", doesn't mean there's no risk involved.  No thrill is without risk.

Adam the owner of Lakeshore on the video is a good friend of mine. We stay at his resort several times a year. Last year that jet boat darn near sunk my boat while it was on his dock.  Another friend staying there almost had the same problem a month later. If you haven't been down there and seen the wake that devil boat throws you wouldn't understand. It's got no place at all down there!

Well you know how it goes, accountability happens after the accidents.  As in lawsuits.
