Nice! Have never fished your water, but close is better than far. Fish for trout in low light often. Always have better luck an hour before sunrise until light hits the water. The dusk bite can be good, our hour after.

I used to fish the tail water pretty regular awhile back. Hardest part I found was the super clear water and the bedrock that was super slick! I used to put my yak in at Parkers and go upstream along that bluff and catch fish. Even when they don't run water it gets deep in some parts. I take it you are mainly fishing after dark closer to the dam then?

You had me at gurglers.

I always like the Beaver tailwater, but it’s been a long time.

It’s not every night but pretty regularly. I’m happy to take you out.

Nice. I'm going to have to take you up on that offer sometime. I love gurglers and have caught all kinds of fish on them but haven't spent much time chasing trout with one.

If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.

Everyone isn't "doing" it because it doesn't have the numbers of bigger fish to catch. Oh, the numbers might be there, but the bigger fish still aren't present like they are in other tail waters that I know of. Not saying there isn't bigger fish because I know there are. Just saying the chance of landing one is better on a different tail water. That and the fact there is only one resort on that stretch of water makes it not as appealing to some. Spider Creek is alright, but it doesn't offer Branson at it's backdoor. The people at the Dam Store are nice as well and knowledgeable too. Oh shoot, now I am going to have to make a trip back down there!  lol
