What I read about this is the proteins enter the dirt and are taken up by the plant along with other stuff that plants get from dirt. Proteins may be in the dirt for decades before this happens.   Move the dirt to a distant location and prions will infect that area.

Good news is you might get the prions and have them for years before they start act and we ain't going to get out of here alive anyway.

I don't  know if they have shown carrion birds and coyotes to be vector yet or not but have no doubt that they are. bird eats prion infected meat  and flies away and poops prions and those enter the dirt and go up the plants which are eaten by the deer and you have a new area of infestation.

that same philosophy could be said about alot of things in life. For example, those with fancy suits say we are all born with cancer cells, but it’s a crap shoot if those inside of you ever activate. 

The more i read about this deer stuff, the more i call BS.

Different show I guess, Heart was definitely not there and REO closed the night out. No fireworks, just a lot of balls and frisbees flying around.

Not to change the subject or anything, but every time I go to the zoo and look at the giraffes, I seriously wonder how giraffe ribs would be done on my egg.  I bet they would be really good done with a bark on first and then finished low and slow.  Serve with some Milo BBQ sauce and MoPanfisher fried potatoes and onions, steamed asparagus and an ice cold beer or two.
