Amery Posted March 8, 2019 Author Posted March 8, 2019 I’m not worried about it too much. It takes a lot of motivation to fish at night. Taney is definitely a mess in the fall but compare the night crowd to the day crowd, still a drastic improvement. I’m not worried about beaver, it has a really bad rep. Also what is the point of sites like this one if no one shares? That’s why I do it. I appreciate all the reports I’ve read over the years doing research and I want to provide that for others. nomolites, Daryk Campbell Sr and Johnsfolly 1 2
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 The bad thing is the volume of traffic this site gets and only a handful of people give reports. So many lurkers that dont ever post. Amery and snagged in outlet 3 2

This dude crushed an olive bugger just under the surface last night. EXPLODED on it. I was positive it was a brown when I caught it. I’m still 99% sure. Any opinions on that? Around 25”. How about a weight? It swam away strong. Holy cow - I haven't seen a rainbow or brown nearly that big below Beaver before. I did catch an 18" brown two weeks ago on a mini-dungeon. Thanks for the C&R so others might enjoy the awesome experience you had. Good job!!! Quillback 1
fishinwrench Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 That's a Rainbrown if I ever seen one. FishnDave 1

Leave it to the guys at the hatchery to create bizarre hybrids, right? 😁 Maybe its a Brownbow? The head looks like a brown to me...the body looks like a rainbow, and the tail looks like a brown. Maybe some sort of Chimera? Here's a tail of a brown that definitely has its share of spots... (not my picture, I found it online):
fishinwrench Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Speaking of "what species of fish is that"...... What have we here?
rps Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Beaver tailwaters hold much better fish than many assume. I caught a near 7 pound fishing a jerk bait for walleye, and my friend Larry, who has a 6+ rainbow from Rim Shoals mounted and in his office, caught and released an even larger brown just below the 62 bridge. He was in the middle of a divorce and said, " I can't afford another fish mount."
