25 lbs 10" beard 1 1/4 " spurs. Heaviest bird I have ever taken. Public land in Missouri. Came in silent, strutting his way to me, at 10:00 am. Love hunting the second shift!

Marty - That was too easy. Your skill or luck always is amazing (do you ever buy lotto tickets)?

               Tho1mas,

Got to be luck as my skill level sucks at times :) . You know the old saying about falling into a pile of crap and coming out smelling like a rose. That applies in this instance. Tomorrow will be taking Pat out. This will become a debacle I am sure. She would probably do better on her own.

My son was able to take his first this year during youth season. First morning we were close but not close enough and on the second morning they finally got fired up and was able to work them pretty good. A lot of fun watching him get all excited when he could tell they getting closer by the sounds of the gobbles. He’s been the last couple of years but this is the first year it’s all came together. Had one beard at 10” and one at about 1”. Spurs were 3/4” and 20lbs.
