LOZ has great cell coverage, they could have gone up there

That would be a fun one to watch them fish. They would probably have to keep the boats below Hurricane Deck though because there is a huge dead zone on the Osage arm from the 50mm all the way up to about the 83mm. I've snagged that entire stretch for paddlefish and you're pretty well dead to the world with AT&T. Not sure about other providers though.

I'm AT&T, turn your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off and you should have 4G the whole way.

There's a small dead zone in the back of Cartwright and another by Devil's Chair, but I'm always good everywhere else up there unless I have wifi on (which I always forget to turn off when I leave my house).

Not sure why Bluetooth matters but it seems to on my MotoZ in certain places.

It doesn't

Oh but it does.   Calls will often go straight to voicemail on my phone when Bluetooth is on.  Phone never rings.  We've tested it.

Then you need a decent phone.

Or.....I just need to remember to turn WiFi and Bluetooth off when I'm not using them, which is way more practical than buying a phone just like YOU have.

Just giving Seth a tip to try, sorry if that bothered you, darling. 🙄

Stop taking your MoCarp frustration out on ME or I'll piss in your Cheerios.

Oh it didn't bother me at all. It's just that when I buy things I want them to work like they are supposed to. Especially electronic things. If BT or wifi are interfering with my cell signal then there is a problem. Sounds like you have the 4 stroke Mercury phone.

I'll keep that in mind, but none of that really makes sense as to why it would help with signal. If LTE coverage isn't available, it will fall back to 4G. Bluetooth is just a type of connection that allows you to sync with other bluetooth devices such as a speaker, head set, hell even modern trolling motors (people get a kick out of me controlling my Ultrex with the Minnkota app on my phone). Now I have been in areas where LTE was showing up, but nothing was loading and switching LTE off and using 4G did help. You still have to get service for that to work though.

It's not just my phone, it's everybody in the boat using different brands and models of phones. I've spent a lot of time in that stretch during the past ten years during snagging season and it has always been that way for us.
