It's down about 5 feet last I knew, but is still about 12 feet over pool. It's dropping something like 4 inches a day at the current rate.

I launched at Ruark today.  Like Mr Giggles said. It's still around 12 feet high, but is heading down.

The courtesy dock was perfect today. Looks like they  had just moved it.

I went totally walleye today. Big swing and a miss there. Nothing to report...

That is one of the things that they brought up in the CCP class that I was part of.. And they "stressed- protect you self but, be as great witness".. Know licence plate #, color, make, male/female , ETC..

You can intervene in a felony situation, but I would not do it for reasons already mentioned.

I carry for when I go home - in the country and secluded.  And I carry around the place.  You know how many country people have been murdered in the Ozarks in the last 40 years?   No you don't.  They don't say much about it.  I open carry to get the mail and mow.  Sometimes I carry the scary black rifle up to the mail box.  Stand around and look friendly until a couple of these idiots drive by and see it.

I carry to the bathroom!  By the way, I just carpeted the bathroom.  Like it so much may run it all the way into the house.

True.   Local lawmen shot and killed a unarmed guy on his porch awhile back.  Not even a whisper about that incident or the ongoing court proceedings on the news.  A Casenet search shows no criminal record on the guy whatsoever.....so I guess you had to be there to know exactly WTF went down.  The family of the guy act like they are afraid to talk about it.  Pretty strange.

If he had had a gun holstered on his side then he would probably have been considered "armed".

Well.  According to Facebook, that happens also.   Something like that may have happened near here some time ago.  You didn't hear if from me.

But I speak of farmers and their wives, murdered by jail breakers.  Shop owner, his wife and dog chopped up with knives (that one got some mention in the news, but died quickly).   A fellow lost more than his manhood recently on a back road....  More to the story than we'll ever know. 

Good friend of mine lost a college chum to one of these fellows we can't talk about....This was in Kansas.  The guy saw a party group leaving an apartment, sneaked in the door behind the victims and confronted them when they came back in.  Said he had a knife and pushed them into their bedroom - then - went to the kitchen and got one of their knives.  Killed the guy and did unspeakables to his wife.

Now, that sucka would die in my home in a similar situation.  My only worry would be how to clean up the mess.

You don't wanna carry then don't.  Still more or less a free country for the time being.

Sorry to hear that was you bass fisher. Or really anyone for that matter. Wish these idiots would start shooting themselves rather than innocent people. We can carry all we want but the problem just continues to get worse.

Yep, random killing just because a person's life sucks and they have no empathy for others will continue to happen until the population is reduced to the point where people actually become lonely and long for company, instead of being so closely surrounded by other people that they are nauseated by their presence. 

If that douchebag had been alone for a month or two without seeing another person then he wouldn't wanna kill anyone.  Instead he'd wanna talk, play chess, or screw.

Well just hang on. There is a time  comin when you will be able to blast away. If this fool keeps it up in Washington were going to have a full revolution. All his great americans will all be picking up there weapons and going forth to Clean up the swamp with no idea of who are where the swamp is or just how tuff those people are in the swamp. A old Marine SGT once told we nobody is combat ready till them been thru it. Awlaf lot of folks that are considered part of the swamp know al about that already
