I don't think that MDC's objectives are motivated by money..They are guaranteed to get more every year thanks to the 1/8 cent sales tax they receive. Under table money, and side perks might be a part of it...The Conservation Commissioners are usually high rollers and appointed by the GOV....They have a big PR problem with avid outdoors people....and there needs to be some public oversight at a high level, because the agency is currently unaccountable.

duck hunting zone boundary lines

What about the zones is wrong ?

Duck zones protect the ducks during peak movement times.  Then they cater to the deer hunters when they shut down for deer season.

I guess i don't understand the geography part,  weather seems to be key to seeing ducks during season and I can't really blame MDC for the weather.   In my three county area duck season only happens once every ten years or so, when it gets extremely cold early and stays cold.

Thin them bass out and make room for more suckers to grow.  A guy asked me yesterday if it was legal to keep suckers in the RRSP, told I didn't know.

Why would anyone want to eat a SM bass if they could have a sucker?

No kidding! I ask this question all the time. Of all the illegal fish to gig, there are only a couple that may taste better than freshly killed sucker and a stinkin bass sure ain't one of them! I'd rank fresh deep fried suckers up there with anything that swims personally. They just require a little more prep work.

I finally had some a few years ago at the jigfest in AR.  Best freshwater fish I've ever eaten.
