gotmuddy Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Jigfest 2019 was probably my favorite of all the years. Thursday night's dinner was amazing. @N9BOW pulled pork was great, the sauce was killer. My wings and mac n cheese were well received also...and that cheesecake @JestersHK brought was stupid good, along with Les's stuffed mushrooms...I thought I was gonna pop! Friday I started off with @LittleRedFisherman for an hour or so until his buddy nick showed up. Fishing was hard at the mouth of the buffalo. I caught one and I think Brett had two before we went back to the ramp so I could hop in with @ZigJigman and make the run up to the mouth of Crooked creek. Fishing was hard, I caught two at the mouth of CC with a white custom "gotmuddy" jig and a brown trout countdown. After we left there we decided to drift down and fish seams/eddy's/pockets hoping for big browns on jerkbaits. Just below CC I hooked a big brown but he spit out the hooks about 15ft from the boat. That was my last fish. JestersHK, liphunter, Johnsfolly and 2 others 5 everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
gotmuddy Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Saturday I hooked up with @Seth and @Daryk Campbell Sr went to Norfork to due to the lower releases. Welcome to the monkey dodo show! I caught a bow on my first cast and within 30 minutes had a white river slam. After that I committed to fishing for big browns, as numbers just didn't matter to me at that point. I was throwing big jerkbaits and catching decent fish, when I decided to do some creek bassfishing with a wiggle wart. Almost immediately I start catching 20" browns, then hook a BIG one that refused to stay in the water. It kept jumping, and at one point I had the rod tip down in the water to keep the fish in. @Daryk Campbell Sr went to net the fish but @JestersHK cursed net did not co operate. At that point @Seth said "just boat flip it" and I had a serious lapse of judgement and tried it.....and snapped 12lb test line. We spent the next 20 minutes solid laughing, probably so I didn't cry. It was honestly an awesome day, and I cannot wait for next year #crankfest2020! liphunter, Daryk Campbell Sr, snagged in outlet 3 and 3 others 6 everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

It will let you load up to 100 pics in one folder. Hit the browse tab above, then click on gallery. You'll first have to create a folder for your pics, then you can up load them. So what is your estimate on that brown that got away? Phil Lilley 1

They were both 5+lb Rather than be upset that they got away, It is going to make me focus on hunting them even more. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Seth Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 9 minutes ago, Quillback said: So what is your estimate on that brown that got away? I'd say it was pushing the 2' mark and 5#. It was tail walking like a dolphin so we all got a good look at it. Never have I seen a big brown do that. All the big browns I've seen caught stayed down deep. It's a good thing I didn't have to pee when he went for the boat flip and broke it off or I might have just pissed my pants laughing. It wasn't as funny when he beat my walleye off at the boat. 😄 Daryk Campbell Sr, gotmuddy and JestersHK 3
