Fish24/7 Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 Absolutely mind blown at the lack of concern in small town USA. I went around town just to see how people are or aren't trying to stop the spread. I sat in Dollar General parking lot for 15 minutes. Watched 19 people come and go. At one point there were at least 12 inside the store not including employees. Nobody wearing a mask. Nobody wearing gloves. Next stop gas station, lunch time. Parking lot full. 9 vehicles parked. 3 at the pumps. Nobody pumping wearing a mask or gloves. Nobody entering or leaving wearing masks or gloves. In a ten minute time frame 19 different people touched the door with bare hands going in and again coming out. Gross, talk about germs! Estimated as many as 7+ inside at one time plus employees. One of 2 gas stations here ,the next closest one is 18 miles down the road , so Everyone stops here when passing through. Where did they come from? Where have they been? No way of knowing.. Next stop hardware store. Senior gathering at the front door. 4 gentlemen in their 60-70's having a chat. No masks. 7 vehicles in the lot. Nobody in them. Watched for ten minutes. Watched 9 different people touch the doors outside to go in. If one person has it and sneezes or coughs by you at any of these places, too bad so sad. no gloves,no masks. Not 1 person anywhere. These people need to Wake the fu** up! I They are not being responsible!! I got gas this morning, wore gloves to pump, put on my mask to go inside, stood at least 6' from everyone else. Had to ask 2 young girls to step away from me they were too close. The one gave me a dirty look. So what . All the people inside did was stare at me,some giggled. I just paid and left. Thanks for doing your part to help stop the spread😠. Enjoy your day while the rest of us do what we can to help.

I've always figured it was coming one day.. we're all gonna get it.. Trick is to get it small. But yes there is irony that this showed up here now...seeing how I have been clanging this bell since January..... I worry for my Wife and Mom if this is in fact what Carol has. They both are considered High Risk,, Mom a bit Higher.. But we are observing and doing what is prescribed... My daily routine just became nurse maid.. I'm ok with that.. its just an adjustment I'm gonna have to get into the rythm of. Looks like its sleeping in the basement seeing how the wife has the bedroom and master bath for the next 14 days.

Yep, that's the whole "Help flatten the curve" idea. A whole lot of people are going to get it, if not all of us, the key is to not all get it at the same time so there's a hospital bed available for you if you need it. Good luck to you and your family. N9BOW 1 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson

It's like watching a dude throwing down multiple shots of Everclear as if he never had to be rolled over by his friends to prevent him from drowning in his own puke before. "Live in the moment" they say. 🙄

Take solace in the fact that there is 320M people in the US and less than 1 million US cases. Also look up number test vs. number positive. Statistically speaking provided you have followed the guidance and haven't been told you've been directly in contact with someone who is positive, then the chances are good its something else. None the less do the right thing and quarantine and take care of them which you will. N9BOW 1
