We're working on different options.  Please respond to the poll when it comes out.

Ditto on the multi-species. Would like to see a Crappie and Walleye tournament.

I'd even pay in a little if it that's what it took.

Thanks Wrench! 👍 Definitely was close and looked like it could go either way.

Yeah I wouldn't have wanted to call that one.  Hats off to the judges 👍

I love competitive fishing, but I absolutely hate removing fish from their home area unless I plan to eat them.

There's one thing about this format that I wanna point out.  I tournament fished for a long time and my "style" is to get them in the boat LIKE NOW!   But that isn't the way to play when scoring this way, because getting a good pic of a good measurement on a HOT FISH is a PIA and isn't good for the fish at all.  I chased a couple of those fish all over the boat, and I gotta admit that they were out of the water longer than they should have been......and that just ain't cool.  I can't imagine trying to do it in a friggin kayak !

So Whaddaya Do? either play them out so they are more exhausted, keep a hand over them (which IMO ruins the pic), .....or what?

Weighing (MLF style) is obviously the best way to play this game, if we're going to do right by the fish.

Congratulations to Biil jr and Fishinwrench. They followed the process and submitted photos that helped a lot.

Most of the kayak guys I have seen just have a hand on the fish. As long as you can see the mouth and the tail what does it matter. I've even seen them with the identifier written on their hand so it's in the pic too.

Unless you are these guys.  One used a fake tail, the other cut his bump board down.:

Yeah may have to put a hand on them if they are lively.

I'm not up for multi-species as of now, going to be concentrating on getting this bass thing working, if it works at all,  other species will be on the back burner for now at least for me.  Even then, it would probably work best if it's only one species, say walleye for example.

Doesn't matter the method, you will always have cheaters. You could weigh them but not everyone's scale is going to be the same and I have some 8oz sinkers a bass could easily swallow.

I agree, but who the heck needs to cheat to get a plaque?  I rarely weigh them and if I do I realize the scale may not be correct.  That's why I stick with length.

I definitely could have avoided 2-3 flops off the board and under the console if I had left my hand on them.   Soon as I removed my hand and attempted to frame the pic.....there she'd go. 😂

I'm sure alot of it is my landing technique when competing.  I take one good look to see if they're stuck solid....and if they are, it's coming in the boat lickety-split.  😊 The result is a very pissed off and highly active fish.

Had alot of fun, let's do it again ! 👍
