I didn't participate however......I think if I were to have participate....I wouldn't have submitted a picture unless I knew it was beating the leader(obviously no point right).....I think a way to delay the pictures until the end or near it might at least garner more pictures. Obviously there is technicalities with doing that but I could have seen a situation where nobody catches a bigger than 17 inch fish and no pictures get posted after FW posted the first night.

Not that its a bad thing(he obviously felt some pressure) but I myself wondered if only 2 people fished or if only 2 people caught fish.

I wanted to give it a try but I just don't like fighting the crowd on a holiday weekend.

Either way would be cool with me, but I liked knowing that I needed a 19.5 or better. 

I sight fished that 18.5 that I posted on the last day. They always look bigger in the water, and I was just certain that pig was 20-21".  I camped out on her for almost 2 hours, teasing her with tubes, lizards, jigs, wacky Senko, a Fluke, a Super Spook, and a hollow bodied frog....then FINALLY I killed a spinnerbait and let it flutter down on her nest in a Hail Mary attempt, after all of that, and she slurped it in blades, frame, and all. 😅

I think most of us that fish regularly prefer to stay off the lake during holiday weekends. 

I'm not a bass fisher, but like the idea and would participate in the future.

I didn't enter because I felt it would have been unfair to others. Me being such a stick and all. Yuk, Yuk, Yuk,,,  Seriously, I thought it was a fun Ideal. Like others, I'm just can't do holiday weekends on the lake, plus we had other things going on.

I participated but only caught a couple dinks.  I didn't fish as much as usual due to the holiday.  I like the way we had it and next time I'll just post my dink and take the ribbing.

So maybe hold a dink contest contest sometime.  I participated in one of them a few years ago.  It was a lot of fun.
