OK, probably not zebras, found these embedded in a chunk of limestone.  From back in the day where the Ozark plateau was seabed.  Rock is about 4 inches long.

Brachiopod      I have also found assorted crinoids. Both in Limestone formations. Here we also have an abundance of sandstone around the house. Found what looked like a nut like a pecan shape in that plus this which I suspect is some plant either land or ancient sea,thumbnail_0819201715.jpg

You guys could have field day in my yard, it's full of those things, about every other rock has some sort of fossil print and there are about three times more rocks than dirt. The fan shapes are more common in the soft red rocks I think, but it's all limestone structure bearing chert and clay rocks along with slate. One grandson found a perfect geode a few years ago and when I told him what it was he couldn't wait to smash it. A peculiarity here is that a mile away there is a dolomite upheaval.

Can I share my best find? Trego County, KS 2004:

That's a good one!

I have a couple of sharks teeth and what I believe is a tooth from some form of ancient hippo.  Found them in Chesapeake bay.  There's a state park in Maryland where you can hike about a mile to the shore where there are some clay bluffs that butt right up against the water at high tide.  Shark's teeth and other stuff erodes out of the bluff - I spent about three hours looking to find these little teeth.

All that crap has washed away here a long time ago.  We do have a sinkhole nearby where they have found many reptile fossils in Bollinger County.
