Had to put mom in a home today. She might get COVID and die from it. Her docs should be prosecuted for negligent homocide IMO. Got her med list and she was on 20 meds a day. 79 year old over prescribed junkie. Beware of your doctors, be smart.

Sorry to hear this Gavin.

You said a mouthful here. My mom kept getting female issues at 82 years old. The Arkansas doctor kept prescribing antibiotics for years. By the time we found out she had bladder cancer it was too late. She was 88 when she passed.

I trust doctors about as much as I trust the media sadly... what do you call the person who graduates last in med school... a doctor.  Rule number 1 comes into play here folks.  Vet those doctors and do your own homework on ailments.  Yes there are some amazing ones out there I've been blessed to work with, but man some are just pill pushers who barely eeked out of med school...

As for covid I know a handful who have had it and they have all fully recovered.

Symptoms ranged from a bad flu that took 8 days to get over to one who had a runny nose,  mild fever, and was back to normal in 3 days... none required hospitalization,  all of them loaded up on zinc,  vitamins, and stayed well hydrated.

As for the topic of ammo this panic buying will likely be worse than the 2012 sandy hook fallout.  9mm is up to $.60cpr and 5.56 is there too.  Going to be a while before supply catches up.  Gun sales are through the roof with all the craziness going on.

I learned my lesson after sandy hook and even before that to buy cheap and stack it deep... wish I would of stocked a few more calibers, but those days are long gone.

Ammos out there if you need it though,  I saw 9mm just today locally at $ .64 and $.68 cpr.

When I took organic chemistry in pre med the lecture hall was jammed packed with future doctors who had already failed the course.  Many times more than once.   Some even came from SLU and Wash U thinking it would be easier at UM.   I said “You know it’s the same subject matter right?”   I think only 15-20 of us took the final.

Columbia College in Rolla probably made a nice chunk of money on Rolla grads who couldn't pass any calculus among other classes.

As for the Ammo and panic buying. I am not convinced we will ever see any amount of surplus ammo in the market place again.

Demand is constantly increasing. Suppliers would be crazy to flood the market and kill their own prices. Its nearly a perfect storm for them.

So, Remington dying won't have any effect?

Parts of Remington were sold off to other manufacturers.  Ruger, and the holding company that owns Palmetto State Armory...

Remington was producing hot garbage there in the end... Crap firearms and dangerous ammo with piss poor QC all over the board.  I had a batch of .223 that would of kaboomed due to improper neck crimp and bullet setback.  Was a PITA getting that replaced only to sell off.   They simply needed to die off or seriously overhaul their business model.

I guarantee someone will get the ammo machines back up and running of they aren't already hopefully with better QC.

The .22 LR shortage passet and this will too.  The buy it cheap and stake k deep.is a good philosophy in these times.  For me it's Primers which I am.OK on and bullets and powder which I am.good on.  I reduced my variety of ca liber so I can have more ammo or ammo components.  Realistically I have way more than I need but it won't spoil.
