I paid my hometown a visit awhile back, made the rounds checking in with almost a dozen old friends.  Some attended college, some went into the service, a few were musicians and have spent 30 years pledging allegiance to sex-drugs-rock&roll, and ONE quit school his junior year and opened up a tire shop when he was 26.  

Guess which one is living a good life now?  

What about all the ones that left small-town Mo never to return?

Hey I stuck it out and completed school. 8th grade was the toughest three years of my life 🤣🤣

There are more than a few college boys on this site and I would venture to guess that most of us are living a pretty good life.

For me it was borrow money and go to college or keep pumping gas and fixing flat tires.

I wouldn't even be considered for my job.  Same with my wife and all 3 of my kids.  Like we told the kids.  Yes there are jobs where you "might" make a good living but having a specific college degree makes the odds go up dramatically.

As follow up, the founder of our company made his kids work in the yard as laborers until they graduated from college.  We require a college degree for everyone in management, sales, accounting, drafting and QA.
