Cowboy Boots

Was watching a guy today he had his Jeans tucked into his Cowboy Boots.

I was thinking nobody does this. But got to thinking a person has a thousand dollar pair of Boots why not show them off?

I can't be a cowboy.  I'm genetically altered so cowboy boots don't fit me.  I have real high arches and my foot won't make it into them.  Lucky I guess😂

Pretty rare to see actual "cowboy"  boots these days, with 16" tops and 3" heels.  Not sure where one would buy them.  But it was a tradition to wear them outside the trousers, so that you could reach the Bowie knife, and the hawgleg.  And to keep the horses sweat from soaking the pants legs.

                  That and I have seen them do this in feedlots to keep the cow crap off the britches.

I think can buy them at PFI in Springfield.

It’s been years since I had a pair.

This guy was just a kid did have Rebel bill on his Hat.

I tuck my pants into my Muck Boots every time.  And my 8" leather hunting boots also.  Helps keep the tick off my legs.

I have never understood the cowboy boot thing.   It's a lame fashion statement that makes no sense at all.   Even for a real cowboy, that has to be among the worst possible choice of footwear.   Only a slight step above a pair of flip-flops.

And high dollar because of the tooling and paint. $600 back in the ‘80’s for a pair.

My wife does Leather Work but nobody wants to pay the extra. Kind of like custom Rods and Knives.

Having once been a working ranch hand I can tell you that if you spend 12 hours a day in the saddle there is no better footwear for that work.  However the fashion boots from the "western store'' are not the real thing.
