Cheap Gas

Just talking with my wife she said she was going to get gas because it the cheapest she has seen.

How much is it? $2.69 a gallon. 
 

Im thinking how much it will cost to fill my pickup next month.

Oneshot, these are getting quite popular, and I understand that the new administration is giving large tax breaks and cash incentives, especially on trade-ins of older gas-guzzling pick-ups.  Don't resist your future, embrace it!

Everybody is pissing and moaning about the price of gas, but yet the same people will drive 40 extra miles just for an ice cream cone.  Nobody bitches about the cost of insurance, or the fact that the state charges sales tax on USED cars, and personal property tax on top of that.  

If you drive to work every day, and the cost of fuel is hurting you.....then tell your employer that you need a raise to compensate for it.     Just keep in mind that the recreational unnecessary (stupid, for no good reason) driving that you do....is on YOU.   

No matter how expensive a gallon of gas gets.....the roads are ALWAYS clogged up with people going wherever for whatever.    But then they complain about it.  🙄

Know this is true 

My wife quit a good Job last time  prices were up because company wouldn’t pay enough for her gas. Her car gets 30 MPG. My Pickup makes up for it getting 18 MPG.

I’m working all week at the new Rivian car plant in Bloomington/Normal. It’s absolutely crazy, Amazon has pumped 2 billion into this plant, Ford and others have pumped hundreds of millions into it. They’re trying to produce cars by June. This vehicle is all electric and is an off road vehicle that can go up to 400 miles before recharging. They also make electric Amazon delivery vans.

Cool - I have seen the specs and a pre-production review; supposed to be a first to market large scale supplier.  If I had your hourly rate I’d buy me one.....😂

I think Missouri just passed an additional gas too.  I guess I’ll keep to a  5 county area like @fishinwrench.  St charles and Taney county being the two I spend most of my time in.  😂. I didn’t say contiguous😁

A guy on another forum pre-ordered a Rivian pickup.  He claims he paid $70,000 for it.
