I know its a holiday weekend, BUT. A lodge guest and I just counted 18 boats fishing and another 8 running out front here at the lodge

That's Clevenger Branch, Big Cedar Hollow, Persimmon Hollow and the Islands to the 86 bridge.

I'm going to say that is without a doubt the most by far I have ever seen. Probably the worst part of the lake to fish, so you wonder how the good water is fairing.

Hope all the fish have little helmets on this morning.

Have a great day and remember our Vets.

Fishing Police arrived about 7:30 so that will put somewhat of an end to it  As a matter of fact only see about 1/2 dozen diehards fishing out there now.

No one on the pond to the SE yesterday. Downright peaceful. Then again you get an extra 25 feet of water to sort thru to catch fish.

It's always good to get back to nature and get away from it all. Don't forget to pack all the crap you are trying to get away from. Put it all in the 18 wheel tent. And for the love of almighty himself. Don't forget the 10 foot, 15 seat, inflatable swan. lol

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity...... Or you could just flip a coin???B)

We keep thinking about going to that lake but it is over twice the distance.  Does everyone put in at K Dock?

There may have been a lot of fishing pressure but we went out for a couple hours in the morning and a couple hours every evening. And it wasn't too bad. We caught a ton of keeper size bass and several walleye on drop shot with nightcrawlers. The best walleye being 28 inches. The keeper size bass ratio was excellent.
