On a desktop computer it displays your screen name, number of posts and where you you are from. So it says Nebraska and it was your first post. I said I understand your frustration but simply pointed out a fact about your first post. I take no offense to being called names. But I think it was fair to point out. You remind me of sister in-law Karen but she's from Kansas not Nebrasky... Signed Bonehead Ok Gregory lol snagged in outlet 3 1

dan hufferd Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 If a person was a "good" guide, why would you schedule a trip knowing it wasn't the right time. I mean, I get it, the money's good, but I would feel terrible if I didn't give my customers the best chance of success. Why didn't he just say "I only striper guide on (blank days, and blank times of year)? No I can't do it at 2pm in the summer, unless you just want a boat ride?? I don't understand. I do know a lady would catches them in August on Norfolk 👍 snagged in outlet 3 and Johnsfolly 2

Mostly saltwater trips. I respect a guide that does that. Terrierman, Daryk Campbell Sr and dan hufferd 3
bfishn Posted July 30, 2021 Posted July 30, 2021 Mid-day, summertime may not be the best time to catch Beaver stripers, but it's sure the easiest time to find them. Just stay within sight of the Dam Site campground and scan the 40-60' depth range in or near the channel. It's a hot, miserable row to hoe, but it can be done. Quillback and Bigfishes1 2 I can't dance like I used to.

Thus you have a license to operate a boat for hire with paying passengers.
tjm Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 So not really pertinent to guiding? would only apply on Corps controlled water?
Nick Adams Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 I think it's the Coast Guard, not the Corp. Here's a thread from 2007 the @Phil Lilley started. tjm 1
MOPanfisher Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 I am curious as to exactly how long someone should be a member or how many lost they should make before they air a grievance about what was obviously a bad experience with a substandard guide. They are lots if good guides and more than enough bad ones as well. Is the length of membership or number of post the same if someone want to share information on how thy are catching fish?
