2 hour drive at $3.25 a gallon to one for me.

I get it.   The grocery store is $20/12 ounce ribeye.   We have $2.90 gas today!   Crazy how fast inflation has accelerated.

I wonder how much of the inflation will be true long term inflation vs short term supply/demand market dynamics. Doesn't really matter right now when you swipe your card I know.

I've always heard precious metals were a hedge against inflation but most of them have remained flat to down YTD indicating maybe something different longer term?

We’re on the fiat currency system.  So in essence we are constantly in a some amount of inflation.  But this is crazy hyper inflation.  Like the lay 70’s.

I can't remember $2.90/gallon. We're between $3.35 and 3.45/gallon. crappy hotels are over $150 per night others are $200 or higher. cutting into our travelling for fishing.

I’ve not gone on a couple fishing trips lately due to gas prices.  I could afford it but I just didn’t want to pay it.

When they had to add the extra digit to the gas pumps and daylight saving time to keep us in the dark.  Gotta love the 70's.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the high fuel prices made people start selling all those boats they bought over the past few years. I'm always up for a bargain.....

High fuel prices won't do it, but once the warranty expires and they can't find anyone that can fix them they'll be for sale.

True.  My buddy, who has a couple of those (1 fast, 1 party) told me some time back if you gotta worry about the cost of fuel you shouldn’t be in the game.  The outbreak of CCs with multiple offshore racing engines on LOZ has been amazing….and job security for you too Wrench if you choose to take on those 4-stroke beasts.

As long as I can stay busy working on pre-computer controlled (mechanical) systems I'll have to pass.

Doing so is the only thing that has thus far protected my reputation.   I like happy and satisfied customers.
