I intend this to be full of respect and love for Kbilb and his family.

A very few years ago, Betsy found my friend, Randall, dead on the steps down to their garage. That must have been horrific. It was tragic. Randall was in his 50's. At their wedding reception, I cleaned and cut the calf fries. He and my fellow rugby players were close.

When I thought about things later, I thought about my mother who died after months of hospice care in her own home for liver cancer. I thought about my father, who died after years in an assisted living facility for those afflicted with Alzheimer disease.

There are worse ways to go than to be found gone.

I hope their family, one day, appreciates how lucky he was.

I hope, one day not too soon, to go that quickly, and spare my wife the long and drawn out ugly.

I pray his family looks to the good over the bad, and thanks their gods for their blessing.

I say his name once more so he will not be forgotten.

Couldn't agree more.

Thanks to all you guys for your kind remarks. And i agree RPS. I had to watch my dad die a slow death of dementia. It was not a pleasant experience. Cherish your moments with your friends and family. His family wants to have him cremated and his ashes spread over some of his fishing spots down at Table Rock. He loved that place!! Thanks for posting that pic Quill even tho it brought tears to my eyes. Still hard to grasp losing one of my best friends. A fishing buddy!! And no you boys can not follow us tossing his ashes on his spots!!! :)

Quill - Thanks for posting the pic....he was a good fisherman for sure...sorry to hear that life ended to early for him and for sure prayers for his family.

As was said - he seemed to be in a place that he loved...death takes to many to soon. Some day we will understand why.

I'm Sorry for their loss.

I loss My Mom to a sudden health event and my Dad after a lengthy, miserable decline. Both were terrible losses for me, but I wouldn't wish my Dad's fate on anyone.

So tired of death and disease. Just lost my 38-year-old cop neighbor to COVID.

Prayers for kbilb's family that God will draw near and comfort them in this really hard time.
