Do you have numbers memorized or written down on something in your wallet? I don't. And even if I did..... where's pay phone? Can you even buy paper Maps anymore? Where? All this reliance on mobile devices is nerve wracking. It's gonna go bad, you know it is.....and then what? That happened to me at Eagle Rock a few years ago. My phone got wet, and had to find my way back to the campground at Roaring River to pick up my stuff, and find my way back to I-44. Luckily I have a sense of direction, and knew I had to go North to get to 44. But was uneasy just the same. BTW, gas station attendants are not the same as they were 30 years ago. fishinwrench and snagged in outlet 3 1 1 Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. DADAKOTA Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Absolutely amazes me how many folks rely on their handheld, tracking, phone to run their lives. Doesn't anyone know how to read a map? If the cell system went down folks would lose their freaking minds. Most couldn't survive without their pacifier phone for a week or two.
