Does it tell you where all the gas stations, fly shops, and grocery stores are in the Branson area ?    No. 🙄

People down there aren't friendly with directions like they used to be.

Nearly every hotel, motel and restaurant down there has Branson maps. For free.

Well I asked the dude at the Shell station/Convenience store, and the gal at the fly shop.  Neither had one, and it wasn't serious enough to start going door to door like a Jehovah witness begging for one.

I truly didn't need anything, I just like to know where things like grocery stores, auto parts stores, marina's, car washes, ect. are when I'm staying in an unfamiliar town for a week or so.

I mean Piper was down there and needed a 25hp Merc prop.....Good thing ol'wrench was on his way.....cuz WTF else was he supposed to get one ? 😁

A few years back, I got tired of buying  GPS units.  I had bought 3 handheld outdoor units and one Tom Tom for the vehicle.  I bought a $60 track phone that has Google Play Store, good internal gps chips, and micro sd expansion.  I never activated the phone part, disabled all of that part.  Downloaded a few apps with offline maps and made a nice little unit.  SYGIC app for road travels and Earthmate for topos, aerials, and a backup road map.  Works like a charm and good battery life.  Music on it for the blue tooth speaker.

But, I keep Delorme Atlas as a backup in the truck and Company Rig for navigation.  Most areas I go, ATT does not provide enough signal to keep up.

They make a pill for that.

A pill that keeps her from complaining?

If it wasn't too soon... then it'd be too late.  I quit trying to operate on HER time schedule long ago.

It's not easy to get lost between Eagle Rock and Roaring River but I guess a determined fellow could do it.🎯

You are not wrong, but I'm from St Louis,  and drove in at dark.    I know pretty well how to now, but that day was uneasy.

I bought a New Phone just to get onX GPS only because I hunted Federal Land and it had the Boundaries.
