Its giving me anxiety watching those guys on TV up flat creek taking my smallies away. Ive probably spent more time on that stretch than anywhere else

I noticed on the water and TV coverage that the spoon guys were not taking full advantage of an active catch in progress. I would have each guy net his own fish and  have the other guy drop their spoon around the active fish.

I like Bass Pro ad what they are doing but they could have stepped up the coverage of this since they are a billion dollar company, You cant even find a leaderboard without sifting through the live weigh in feed.  ITs literally an advertisement for Bass Pro with a couple fish catches every 15 min on NBC sports

Couple of young guys from AL win it.  Looks like the final was a Livescope deep fishing shindig.  I really thought some locals would win this, but from what I could tell, it was predominately out of state guys in the top 10.

The weigh-in was goofy, big crowd of fishing celebrities milling around on the stage getting in the way.

Saw that the winners are on the Auburn fishing team.   These guys maybe have more money than the star football players.

If your on a college team how does this type of win effect your amateur status?

Also really surprised to see the number of fisherman out this morning. Got up at daylight and boats were running. 

These are not guide trips for the most part as none came out of BC Marina. I can count 8 boats right now. 

Pressure on this pond is relentless.

I am a college fishing coach.  Collegiate fishing is setup as a non NCAA club sport.  Anglers can fish non collegiate tournaments and win money plus display sponsor logos on their jerseys.  If it was an ncaa sport it would not be allowed.
