It's magic hydrophobic fumed silica, used most for thickening epoxy, about a dollar an ounce when bought in bulk (3-4qts) vs seven$/ounce at the fly shop or forty bucks per ounce as feather powder at Cabela's.

The ~$1 per ounce jar of Albolene from Walgreen's  is a lifetime supply and if soaked into the fly at the bench only requires a squeeze with the chamois leather to be back on the water, so I never got around to buying the Frog's Fanny. I expect that one ounce of it would be a life supply for me.

I bought it in bulk when treating wild turkey feathers for fletching. Many, many moons ago so it was cheaper. A couple boxes worth. If I check my stash I may have some to share. It does go a long way.

Found a dead Sparrow Hawk in the yard today. I know it's against the rules  to possess Hawk feathers but it appears it would make some nice flys.

Probably true.  What you're paying for is the handy applicator bottle.....which is fine with me.  So can y'all just buy it from THEM and help keep them in business please?   I mean Jesus Christ, you paid 600-900 for the rod/reel, 100 for line, ect.ect.   Going all cheap on some friggin' fly drying powder is rediculous. 😂

I find dead hawks in my yard all the time.   How weird is it that they always come HERE to die ?  🤔

Here are my ties of what should be probably named the rude Trude but since the color creator calls it the dalmatian I suppose that it will be. Size 14 a trio of them. @fishinwrench
