We Fished around Baxter today and it was a head scratcher!  Caught 9, I hooked 4 and quick released 2, 1 still has a brown crawler in its face tried to boat flip a 3lber on 10lb line. Still mustered 7 keepers. Did catch a 9 inch crappie on a spoon 70ft deep over 85ft. Great day with Fishrman!  Wt 54.

Any hints on where to find the shallower crank bait bite? I’m a winter fishing novice and don’t have FF sonar so may try to grind out the shallow fish instead of looking for the deep bite.

Fish channel swings and rock transitions with your crank. Look for birds and throw a grub or keitech at them.

Channel swings main lake is where I have been focusing must of my cranking.  It's not a huge numbers deal usually but you can catch some decent fish.

Channel Swings, Channel swings! Catch fish this time of year on a crank bait! Cover water and you will get your opportunities! Have a happy new year!

My little guy and i caught a few, and a lot of short fish. they were stacked up just not eating, even with minnows........played with a different color on livescope and it really filters out a lot of the "static" Anyone with livescope i recommend trying diffferent color options, the amber which is what you always see on advertisements sucks to me, but everyone has different eyes.
