DADAKOTA Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Amazing craftsmanship. The old cafe was not a place for folks with a thin skin. Some truly good folks were on there. Get togethers were legendary. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted June 2 Author Posted June 2 Well, the day finally came. I got tontake it out yesterday. It did well, tracks more left while paddling. When cruising downstream it ends up floating backwards. I believe it may be due to seat position. I did catch 3 species of sunfish, on flies I tied on a rod I made, in the canoe I built. All in all, sucess. nomolites, snagged in outlet 3, dpitt and 11 others 14 Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. ColdWaterFshr Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Fantastic job! Looks very fast, and maybe a little tippy? I'm surprised there isn't a thwart to help keep those gunwales from flexing inward. I'm sure that its fun to paddle. Daryk Campbell Sr 1

I hemmed and hawed with the idea of a thwart. It doesn't seem to affect it noticeably, for now. I read people's comments on both sides of the idea, and decided if I felt I needed one I could add it later. I honestly don't have much canoeing experience to judge speed, but it's much faster and easier than the one man pontoon I made. And the 8 foot mouse boats I made.
