There will be smallies in the lake areas mentioned by the posters up above. Pay very close attention to what dtrs5kprs says as he is a smallmouth guru on Table Rock. good post but wrong hat Hunter53 1
Nick Adams Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 This is an incredibly informative thread! Just too cool. Love it! Quillback, dtrs5kprs and Hunter53 3
Bill Babler Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 If you went out today with a 2.8" Keitech on a 1/4 oz. head on the flat gravel from KC to Indian point with your boat in 25-30 feet and didn't catch SM that would be the story right now. They're staging all over the flat points and gravel leading into the spawning coves. Don't need to fish a ned right now, just throw the small swim bait and cover water. Throw it out, let it sink and swim it slowly back. SM early K's as the sun starts warming the water. Champ188 Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 I failed to mention a 1/2 or 3/8 football jig in PBJ with a green pumpkin double-tail trailer for those who might despise spinning tackle. m&m, Hunter53, dtrs5kprs and 4 others 7

They'll eat a swing head and menace grub with a quickness too. At times, anyway. But big line takes the electricity out. cheesemaster 1

Bill Babler Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Old Yamamoto smoke red fleck Ctail is as good as ever and lasts twice as long as the Keitech. At times they prefer the expensive bait however. For me wobble heads or as they are known today Hard Heads are catching better quality, just not as many.
