I'm wondering how all the trees disappeared on the Corp property so that the homeowner could have a nice lake view.

Uh, oh!  Was thinking same. Guessing there will be some follow-up from the COE!?

They pay a big fine... or fees... depends on how you view it.  Makes no difference if you got the money to pay and want a view.

Exactly.   A developer here at L.O. bulldozed himself an 8 acre cove, then connected it to the lake with 3 charges of dynamite.  Paid a hefty fine, but then built and SOLD an entire subdivision.  In the end I'm sure that he came out like a fat rat.

Hey, if your property isn't all lakefront.....then bring the lake to all of your property, right?  😉

The original topo maps don't show it, of course.....But Navonics even recognizes it NOW. Screenshot_20220413-191321~2.png

My old neighbor took out a bunch of corp trees - he paid a fine and the corp wouldn’t let him touch the property for 7 years. He sold the property and the corp is just now letting the new owners make a 6 foot path to the lake but they have to follow the laws when they cut the path.
