Members Big Mike Posted April 24, 2022 Members Posted April 24, 2022 was eating lunch at the landing yesterday and saw a couple interesting boats. Must be a new boat manufacturer that I was not aware of!! LOL Phil Lilley, dpitt, crazy4fishin and 1 other 4
dpitt Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 I went to captains school with the tiki hut captain. His day job is building high end tree houses. He also build the tiki hut, he used a bunch a barrels, basically unsinkable, but indicated kind of hard to steer. He's a nice guy. Nick Adams 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Tiki hut floats are popular on the inter coastal down in the SE. dpitt 1
DADAKOTA Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Never understood the tiki hut decorations. Saw several on docks at LOZ the last few weeks. Looks like a grass fire waiting to happen.

This is the Ozarks, not Gilligan's Island. 🙄 DADAKOTA and fshndoug 1 1
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 The amphicar, or amphibious car, is an attraction you can pay to be shuttled on. They have one on the landing with rates. Tiki Hut, well that is neat looking, I think. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. Members Big Mike Posted April 26, 2022 Author Members Posted April 26, 2022 its hard to tell from the picture but the boat car thing looked like it was going to sink at any minute. There was a couple in the back seat getting a ride and the water was coming right up to the top edge of the car. I did see it on land as we were leaving and it is pretty cool looking but just not so sure how seaworthy it is. Daryk Campbell Sr 1

Who would launch a venture in crafts like that waiting for a law suit? snagged in outlet 3 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. fshndoug Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 I wouldn't send my worst enemy out in one of those water cars. Those things look like they could sink in a heartbeat.
